The Space is a level in Dancing Line. It's the first level that was added in the "Creation" tab.
Soundtrack and Gameplay[]
The soundtrack of this level is a remixed version of "Comptine d'un autre été, l'aprés-midi", a piano instrumental featured in the French film Amélie (2001) soundtrack by French composer Yann Tiersen. The remix was made by Wooden, who also composed Kingdom War and Chieftain in Rolling Sky.
Trivia[]
- This is the new second longest level in Dancing Line, beating The Indian Journey (2:51 minutes), the first is The Faded - Alan Walker (3:21 minutes).
- This level is also in Dancing Line Community Edition.
- The level and soundtrack are different from the original version due to copyright issues.
- It's the 2nd fanmade in game, after The End.
- This is the first level in game that does not gives you gems unless you upgrade the reward by watching ads.
- To get the 7th gem, do not turn at the 60% marker island, instead jumping to the pink island then turning back to the main route.
- To get the 6th gem, for the first island introducing light green and pink, tap like this: XXX X then turn once the diamond pops up in the second island.
Percentage Markers[]
This level does not feature the 20% marker.
- The 10% marker is on a block to the right.
- The 20% marker is not shown. But, it could be represented on either the path just like in The Piano or, one of the clouds just like The Amusement Park.
- The 30% marker is on the side of a block next to the path.
- The 40% marker is on the side of the path.
- The 50% marker is on a pink block on the first island.
- The 60% marker is on a pink block on the seventh island.
- The 70% marker is on a giant pink block next to the path.
- The 80% marker is the same place where the 70% marker is but to the left of the path.
- The 90% marker is on a giant blue block on the left.
- The 100% marker is not shown.
Strategy[]
This level is of medium level, therefore it could be significantly easier for a seasoned player than a rookie.
The path at the start of the level is wide, similar to The Chaos, while getting more thinner one-third of the level in. With a considerably thinner path with more obstacles, it could be hard for some players, but can be easily negated by listening to the music and/or using a thinner line (e.g. Zeus). At 60%, be sure not to turn around or else you would lose the opportunity to get a gem. After around 80%, the path reverts to the same width as the start of level and can be easily completed. Because of the path's width, even by using the thickest line (e.g. Headphone) , a bad turn could result in missing a gem while still continuing on the path.
It can be noted that sometimes the path turns unexpectedly (e.g. Transition to the purple region and the island region), which can catch some players unaware. This could be simply solved by playing the level again or watching a walkthrough of the level.
