The early era introduced the pre-alpha stage and the release of Dancing Line, from being an APK to being officially released.

  • The menu UI (user interface) screen was severely modified.
  • The Beginning and The Chaos were added.
    • The Chaos was the hardest level, and The Beginning was the easiest one
  • The collectible cubes were changed to Diamonds.

  • The New era introduced updates in the game, with the first major addition being the level The Piano in Update 1.

    • All About Us was released, making it the first level to not have the word “The” in its title.

    • The Maze was added
    • Officially introduces the U-turn.
    • Snake was added.

    • The Faded Original was removed due to CM's rights to the song expiring.

    • We have great news! Dancing Line has announced that it will come back officially!
      • Even tho there was a popular belief Dancing Line would have new developers, we could see in 2023 and later that some of the developers of the new levels are the same from before. An example would be Dream of Sky’s designer, that developed The Journey. [1] [2] [3]

  • May 31 (Mini Update 8)
    • Dancing Line was updated with version 2.9.6 with the following features:
      • “More Games” button is now added. Its function is to show the players interested in playing more games by Cheetah Games be able to check them out more easily, without needing to close the app and check the Cheetah Games’ developer profile.
        • This button is available both on the levels menu and the level death or completion screen.
      • Minor changes to some of the levels.
      • Changes in the User Interface.
      • Bug fixes.
    • Even featuring the items above, the update text only says “Fix bugs”.
    • This can be unofficially called as an “pre-update” to the upcoming major update.
